Hopatcong Ambulance Squad thrives on a diverse membership and want you to become a part of our team.  No experience is necessary and we provide all of the training you need to get started.  Qualified members also will be sponsored through the EMT program.  We work around your busy schedule.

To qualify you must have the following:

• Be 18 years of age or older to be on the ambulance.(per NJDOH) We can begin training at age 17.
• Have a valid drivers license.
• Be able to lift 125 pounds with assistance.
• Be willing to be a part of a great EMS family.

From time to time the Hopatcong Ambulance Squad seeks per diem EMTs to work shifts during the day 5:45am-6:00pm.  This ensures that we have coverage for the community around the clock. To be considered for a per diem position if available you must:

• Fully complete the per diem application.
• Age 18+ per NJ Dept. of Health requirements.
• 2+ years EMT experience handling 911 emergency calls (not transport) preferred.
• Have a valid NJ or National Registry EMT certification.
• Have a valid drivers license.
• Be current with all NJDOH requirements for EMS.
• CEVO III or higher preferred.
• Current starting rate $20.50/hr (Updated 8/2023).
